GENERAL RULES
- Document Authenticity: Any false information, inconsistency, or forgery in certificates, mark sheets, or official documents will result in immediate cancellation of admission or studentship.
- Mandatory Internship: All students must successfully complete the required internship program after finishing the academic training course as per institutional and council regulations.
- Compliance with Institutional Rules: Students must strictly follow all rules, regulations, policies, and disciplinary guidelines of the Nursing Institute and the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council.
- Exclusive Enrollment Policy: Students are not permitted to remain enrolled in any other educational institution during their training period at KNC.
- Attendance & Clinical Duty: Absence from classes or hostel for more than seven consecutive days without prior permission is prohibited. Students must attend assigned ward duties and clinical training sessions regularly.
- Professional Behavior: Students are expected to maintain respectful and professional behavior at all times. Any rude, offensive, harmful, or disruptive conduct may result in disciplinary action or dismissal.
- Academic Performance: Students who fail the final examination in the first academic year may be required to repeat the year and appear in the examination with the following batch.
- Non-Refundable Fees: All admission fees, tuition fees, session fees, and other institutional payments are non-refundable under any circumstances.
- Residential & Transport Facilities: Hostel accommodation and transportation facilities are subject to availability and institutional policies.
- Parental Visitation: Students may meet parents or siblings during designated visiting hours with prior permission from the authority.
- Cultural & Institutional Programs: National events, cultural functions, and student activities may be organized with approval from the college authority.
- Disciplinary Action: Participation in anti-social activities, violation of institutional rules, or misconduct may lead to punishment, suspension, or permanent expulsion from the college.
Dress Code and Professional Attire
Maintaining a professional dress code is an essential part of nursing education and healthcare practice. Proper attire reflects discipline, professionalism, cleanliness, and respect for patients, teachers, and healthcare environments. At Khairunnesa Nursing College (KNC), students are expected to maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times.
- All students must strictly follow the dress code and uniform policy prescribed by the institute authority.
- Wearing the official college uniform is mandatory during theoretical classes, practical sessions, clinical training, and hospital duties.
- Students must maintain cleanliness, discipline, and professionalism in their appearance while representing the institution.
- The required uniform may vary according to the academic year and clinical responsibilities as determined by the college authority.
- Failure to follow the approved dress code may result in disciplinary action or restriction from academic and clinical activities.
Student Identity Card Policy
- All students are required to carry their official identity card issued by the institution at all times.
- Students must present their identity card when entering classrooms, laboratories, hospital duties, examinations, or any academic activities.
- Entry into academic or institutional activities may be restricted without a valid student identity card.
Library Rules and Regulations
- Students must present a valid library card signed by the Principal to access the library facilities.
- Books and other library materials may only be borrowed by following the official borrowing procedures.
- All borrowed books and materials must be returned within the assigned due date.
- Students are expected to maintain complete silence, discipline, and proper decorum inside the library at all times.
- The use of mobile phones, loud conversations, eating, and sleeping inside the library is strictly prohibited.
- Library materials must be handled carefully. Writing, marking, underlining, tearing pages, or damaging any documents is not allowed.
- Newspapers, magazines, and journals must be read only in their designated reading areas and should not be moved elsewhere.
- No library materials may be removed without proper authorization from the library authority. Unauthorized removal will be treated as a disciplinary offense.
- Violation of library rules may result in suspension or cancellation of library membership and restriction from using library facilities.
HOSTEL RULES AND REGULATIONS
- Students must obtain prior permission from the hostel authority before leaving the hostel premises. Leaving the hostel after 6:00 PM is strictly prohibited for safety reasons.
- Roaming around the campus beyond the permitted hours is not allowed.
- In case of any serious illness or emergency, students must immediately inform the housekeeper, who will notify the hostel authority or Principal.
- Visitors, including family members and friends, are not allowed to stay in the hostel at night. In special cases, a student’s mother may visit with permission, but overnight stays are strictly prohibited.
- All meals must be taken at the scheduled times in the designated dining hall.
- Cooking inside rooms or anywhere within the hostel premises is strictly prohibited. Electric stoves, heaters, and similar appliances are not allowed.
- The hostel authority is not responsible for the loss of money, jewelry, or personal belongings. Students are advised not to keep valuable items in their rooms.
- Personal televisions, refrigerators, and pets are strictly prohibited inside the hostel.
- Students are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in their rooms, toilets, and bathrooms. Waste materials must be disposed of properly in designated dustbins.
- Throwing waste such as paper, bottles, wrappers, or other materials through windows or outside the hostel premises is considered a punishable offense.
- Activities that disturb others, including loud talking, singing, or excessive noise from television or other devices, are strongly discouraged.
- Students are not permitted to move or exchange hostel furniture and fixtures without approval from the hostel authority.
- Staying outside the hostel overnight without permission is strictly prohibited and may result in cancellation of hostel accommodation without prior notice.
- The institution reserves the right to modify, update, or add hostel rules and regulations whenever necessary.
